Ilkeston residents are being urged to voice their views on the future of Ilkeston community hospital’s Minor Injuries Unit.

Earlier this month it was announced that the MIU would be closed at night from October 6.

Catherine Atkinson, Labour Parliamentary Candidate for Erewash, is urging residents to voice their opinions before it’s too late.

She said: “For me this is personal. My family have used the MIU and I don’t want to see cuts to our hospital. I want to encourage as many people as possible to show their support.

“This is another blow to the local NHS following the closure of Ilkeston Walk-in centre. The loss of this service at night is bound to put strain on other NHS services.”

Catherine is urging people to display the campaign poster (pictured). You can have your say by e-mailing enquiries@nhserewash.com. For a poster, email Catherine@CatherineAtkinson.com.
