An inquest will open today into the death of a man hit by a train in Long Eaton.

Ryan Wilkinson , 22, from Stapleford, died on the morning of Wednesday, February 4.

An inquest into his death will open at Derby and Souther Derby Coroners Court today (Tuesday).

British Transport Police attended the scene and services were disrupted for a number of hours.

There were no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

A full inquest will be heard at a later date when a verdict of Mr Wilkinson’s death will be reached.
