Lots for kids to do during school break

A range of events will keep children entertained at Erewash Museum over the school summer holidays.

Themed weeks will offer free tailor-made activities, crafts, learning and lots of entertainment.

The fun begins on July 28 with a carnival week, with other themes including sport, space, wildlife and superheroes.

Councillor Mike Wallis, Erewash Borough Council’s lead member for culture and leisure, said: “Our award winning museum continues to be a firm family favourite and we know parents and children love our themed weeks that keep them busy and active throughout the summer holiday.

“We’re pleased to unveil another exciting programme for the summer of 2014.”

The free activities will be held between 11am and 3pm. Some workshops need to be pre-booked and have a small charge of £1.50.
