An Ilkeston motorcyclist is planning a mass motorbike trip to Skegness to raise money for Cancer Reserch.
Scott Gilbert, 22, will be riding his Yamaha 125cc YZF for the event on July 30, starting at Granby Motors on Belfield Street, Ilkeston.
He said: “I have arranged bacon baps before the start and a carvery in Skegness for £3. We are hoping to have a barbecue when we get back to Ilkeston.
“We have organised a route which misses motorways so learners can take part,” added Scott, who hopes to have passed his test a few days before the journey.
Last year, Scott, a trainee salesman for Granby Motors who was nominated for our Superserver awards for his work in the food hall of the Co-op on South Street, organised a calendar shoot to raise money for the charity, following the death of his uncle John.
Motorcyclists interested in taking part can contact Scott on email@example.com or on 0115 9300020.
