A JESTER will be at Erewash Museum on Saturday to mark the opening of a new archaelogy exhibition.
A medieval fun day will mark the opening between 11am and 3pm on February 12.
On show in the new gallery will be a medieval posy ring from the museum’s collection, finds from an excavation carried out in Ockbrook as well as a variety of other items.
Cllr Mike Wallis, Erewash Borough Council’s lead member for culture and leisure, said: “We are proud to announce the launch of our new archaeology gallery at the museum and we know the celebration event will be popular with people of all ages.
“This gallery adds to the quality exhibitions we host at the museum all year round and, of course, the many events, workshops and activities that make it such a popular attraction.”
