The family of a West Hallam couple killed in a plane crash last month have announced plans for a memorial service.
Carl and Kathryn Whiteley, both 55, were travelling from Dinan in France to Jersey when tragedy struck and their light aircraft crashed into the English Channel on September 4.
The pair will be remembered at a service to be held at 12noon on Friday November 1 at St Wilfrid’s Church in West Hallam.
More tributes were paid by family members in the run up to the event.
Daughters Sarah and Gillian and their partners, Justin and Jamie and their children Megan, Jenson and Mila said: “There is not a day that goes by when we do not think of you.
“We always did everything together and you have left a massive hole in our lives that we will never be able to fill.
“We are however learning to live life without you both and keeping strong just as you would have wanted.
“Your grandchildren Megan and Jenson wake up talking about you and remembering all the fun things that you did with them.
“They know that you are with the angels now but you will always live on in our memories.”
Carl’s mum Marilyn and George said: “To the most two precious people who have been taken from us god bless you both. Love you always.”
Kathryn’s mum Edna and sister Angela added: “We miss you terribly and life will not be the same without you. Love you.”
Mandie, Glenda and all the family said: “Each night we shed a silent tear to let you know we love you and just how much we care.
“Take our million tear drops, wrap them up with love, then ask the wind to carry them to you in heaven above. Love and miss you everyday.”
Anyone who knew the couple are welcome to attend the service.
