I am struggling to see a reason for the walk-in centre closure.
Many Ilkeston residents are quite elderly and I have seen many cases of sick children, wheelchair-bound heart patients there.
I myself cannot walk far and it is expensive to pay for petrol and parking at Heanor, the Queens Medical Centre or Derby Royal.
We need the walk-in centre left open and I feel for the workers losing their jobs.
What bright spark thought this up? Elderly people need this local service and the building will just stand empty.
I blame the stupid Government cuts for this. Does the Government want us all to die? That will save them some money in care.
I think the Houses of Parliament should cut their wages – what a saving that would make.
