Erewash Museum’s heritage project to transform its old stables, coach house and hayloft into an all-new learning and community venue is now well underway.

The exciting development was launched after Erewash Borough Council secured funding of £503,600 from the Heritage Lottery Fund.

The new centre will provide an all-new platform for exhibitions and events and will be a key feature of the museum for school groups and visitors.

Councillor Mike Wallis, the council’s lead member for culture and leisure, said: “This is one of the biggest heritage projects seen in Erewash and the new centre will be a major addition to our award winning museum.”
