THE NEW-LOOK Ilkeston Advertiser is set to hit the news stands next week.
Your local paper is getting an ultra-modern makeover from Thursday May 31, so be sure to look out for the sleek new design at your newsagents and supermarkets.
Despite a change in image, The ‘Tiser will still be the first place to come to for all your local news and sport.
Old favourites like Memory Lane and Rescue Me will all still be there.
And your Neighbourhood News reports will be more important than ever – so if you are part of a group, church or organisation, keep sending us the details of your local events and club meetings to firstname.lastname@example.org or via Facebookon the Ilkeston Advertiser page.
Editor Peter Hemmett said: “Our new look paper is more than just a new image – we are placing the reader right at the heart of what we do.
“We will be continuing to break stories on our website at www.ilkestonadvertiser.co.uk, as well as using Facebook and Twitter. Then each week the newspaper will be an in-depth analysis of the week’s events, along with more news and features.
“We want you to get involved in local stories and issues through our website, Facebook, Twitter and, of course, through our letters page.
“There will be plenty of space for your comments and views in the new look News – so get involved in what is happening in your area.”
The ‘Tiser will also be the first port of call for all your local sports news and teams information.
Sports editor Mark Duffy said: “We hope to give you more in-depth analysis, top features and more insight into your local clubs – and the people who make them tick. If you are involved in a sport or club we don’t cover then get in touch at email@example.com.”
The new look ‘Tiser will also include a brand new entertainments section, called The Guide, and will give you the lowdown on all that is happening in the area. We will also be inviting readers to submit entries to our Picture of the Week feature and much, much more.
