A campaign to boost recycling rates in Cotmanhay has been launched by the council.
Erewash Borough Council’s recycling team have been out and about in the community since Monday promoting the service.
The council is installing a new super recycling site on Beauvale Drive opposite Cotmanhay Junior School, to encourage local residents to recycle more.
The hub will be officially launched on Wednesday October 2.
Councillor Chris Corbett, Leader of Erewash Borough Council, said: “The council is committed to increasing recycling throughout the borough and the new recycling site will be an excellent facility for residents of Cotmanhay.
“Landfill is becoming more expensive each year and the recycling campaign will help reduce the amount we send to landfill, reducing overall costs to the council.”
