Ilkeston strongman John Evans has been breaking world records for crown and country recently, in the hope England can win the Record Holders Republic Cup Challenge.
On July 15, John broke two world records by balancing six wheelbarrows on his head, followed by two lawn mowers. On July 4, he matched an existing world record by balancing a car on his head. On the same day he also broke world records by balancing four-metre tall scaffolding on his head, followed by 12 tyres. On June 27, he also balanced 12 gorilla tubs on his head. John said: “I impress myself being able to do this at 68-years-old.
“I’m like a whisky that gets better with age.”
