POND dipping, bug hunts and craft workshops are just some of the activities on offer at the Derbyshire Wildlife Trust’s open day today (Thursday) at its new nature reserve at Shipley.
Earlier this year the trust purchased 182 acres of land to the south of the former American Adventure theme park, since then it has carried out a public consultation with users of the land to get their views on its future.
The Open Day is a chance to explore the new reserve with experts from the Trust and take part in activities and guided walks.
It will take place from 11am to 3pm and parking will be available at the old American Adventure car park.
There is no entry fee but there may be a small charge for some activities.
