Children from Kensington Junior School in Ilkeston will be seen more clearly when out and about this winter thanks to a donation of more than 50 high-visibility vests from Specsavers.

The Bath Street optician donated the vests to as part of an initiative to make the roads safer for children.

Krishna Parmar, store director, said: “It’s important that we do everything we can to ensure our children can be easily seen, especially when they’re walking to and from school. We were delighted to provide the school with a number of high-vis vests and help ensure children are as safe as possible when walking near roads.”
