Police appeal after attempted robbery on teenager in Stanley Common

Police are appealing for witnesses to an attempted robbery on a teenager in Stanley Common.

At about 2am on Sunday, April 26, an 18-year-old man was approached by two men in a dark coloured car on Belper Road.

They were originally driving towards Derby but turned around and pulled up near the junction of Newdigate Street.

The driver demanded money but the youth ignored him and the car drove off at speed towards Ilkeston.

Police have only just released details of the incident.
