Police seek Good Samaritan after woman assaulted in Derbyshire town

Police are appealing for information after a woman reported she was assaulted following a night out in Sandiacre.

The 28-year-old has told officers that at around 11.50pm on Saturday, April 29, she was assaulted by a man in Town Street.

She was later approached by a woman, who may have been walking a dog, who offered help.

The man who assaulted her was white and had dark hair. He wore a black jacket.

A spokesman for Derbyshire police said: “We’re trying to trace the Good Samaritan who stopped to help, as well as any other witnesses. Town Street was busy that evening and CCTV shows there were several cars in the area.”
