Exhibitors are already gearing up for a second nostalgic transport extravaganza to be held in Ilkeston’s Market Place.
Following the success of last year’s event, enterprise agency Erewash Partnership is co-ordinating efforts to make this year’s heritage and classic vehicle show bigger and better.
Enthusiasts have already started to rev up their interest and put in their entries for the show, to be held on Sunday June 29. T
he free family event will take place from 10am-4pm.
So far proud owners of cars have booked in more than 50 entries – the oldest being 80 years - to show off the country’s motoring heritage and portray transport over the years.
Erewash Partnership chief executive Ian Viles said: “After the success of last year’s show our sponsors and exhibitors insisted that we organise it again, so we are planning an even bigger event!”
Classic buses and lorries will also be on show and organisers have plans to again line buses up on the Market Place, complete with correct destination boards.
