AN ILKESTON mum has started up her own business thanks to a grant from the Prince’s Trust.

Jemma Williams was awarded £2,000 to get started as a mobile hairdresser after she presented her buisness plan to a panel of experts.

The mum of two from Cotmanhay has been sent on courses and workshops and provided with a mentor to help get her business of the ground.

She said: “I was really excited when I found out I’d got the grant and I couldn’t wait to get started.

“I’ve been provided with a mentor and offered loads of support, it’s been brilliant.”
