Pub hosts 17-day beer festival

Beer enthusiasts will be able to enjoy a range of ten real ales from across the world, alongside beers from the UK, during a 17-day festival at an Ilkeston pub.

The overseas beers on offer at The Observatory on Market Place have been sourced from brewers in New Zealand, the USA, Holland, Australia, Belgium and Italy.

They will complement up to 40 beers from across the UK also being served .

The festival will run from Friday October 17 to Sunday November 2 , with UK beers including Crimson King, Artisan Cluster Nut and Toffee Bitter.

Overseas beers include Village Elder from New Zealand and Night Owl Pumpkin Ale from the USA.

Pub manager Paul Ellgood said: “The festival promises to be great fun and I am certain that my customers will enjoy themselves.”
