Public consultation over Trowell housing ends on Monday

A PUBLIC consultation by Broxtowe Borough Council calling for more suggested housing sites in the borough ends on Monday

The consultation is part of the authority’s Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA) and highlights those areas already earmarked for housing.

Amongst the areas currently suggested for future development are several sites totalling 4,888 homes stretching from Field Farm all the way up to Trowell Moor.

The sites include 1380 homes on Spring Farm, 600 homes around Field Farm, 837 homes off Bilborough Road and 2,069 houses off Coventry Lane.

A council spokesman this week moved to reassure residents that no decision had been made on any of the sites as they were just suggestions.

But as the consultation asking for even more housing sites ends on Monday, you must be quick if you want to have your say. The council will then be publishing a final list of sites in the summer.
