PUPILS posing as a bride and groom walked down the aisle of St Andrew’s Church in Stanley as they celebrated the Royal wedding on their return to school after the holidays.
Two weeks after the Royal couple exchanged vows the pupils at Stanley St Andrew’s C of E Primary School celebrated with their own mock wedding.
Headteacher, Elizabeth Stanley-Wainwright, said: “They all absolutely loved it.
“We had a really wonderful morning, all of the children really enjoyed the church.
“Our bride and groom read the vows and they even kissed at the end which was really cute.”
After the wedding the children headed back to the school where a reception was held to celebrate.
Mrs Stanley-Wainwright added: “They had squash and a chocolate biscuit cake just like prince William’s to celebrate. It was brilliant.”
