Pupils set up eco project

Pupils at Morley Primary School have turned an area of playground into a patio garden, growing vegetables and edible flowers in pots that will be used as healthy snacks to sell to parents and friends.

The garden has been set up with the help of Derby College’s Food Hub, at the Broomfield Hall campus.

Morley Primary School heateacher, Kate Marsland, said: “Our Eco-Team are leading the work. We hope to show parents and the local community just how easy it is to grow vegetables in smaller areas such as a patio.”
