The company which owns the land in Stanton which looks set to have plans for 1,950 homes approved this month has responded to claims that it has not answered questions over highways issues.

At a meeting called by Stanton-By-Dale Parish Council, it was claimed the company had failed to answer questions about access roads in and out of the site.

However, Murray Lloyd, from Saint Gobain, said: “We have done everything required of us to satisfy officers at Derbyshire County Council and Erewash Borough Council on traffic mitigation.

“We’re not aware of any outstanding information we are yet to provide.

“They have done nothing in terms of requests for information since the amended application went through.”

• It was Green Squeeze, not the parish council, who carried out a public consultation, as reported last week.

A decision will be made on February 24.
