PUPILS from Kensington Junior School impressed as they sang at the annual Rainbows Children’s Hospice charity carol concert and treated care home residents to some festive tunes.
The school choir was one of only four schools invited to perform at Derby Cathedral to help raise cash for Rainbows.
Headteacher Lindsay Partridge said: “It was an absolute pleasure to be asked to perform at the cathedral for Rainbows and the children were a delight.
“The cathedral was packed and there was so much support.
“It was a real privilege to be involved in the event.”
Pupils from the school were also out in the community singing Christmas favourites.
They stopped off at the Littlewick Medical Centre and at Hargreaves Court residential home to sing for patients and residents.
Mrs Partridge added: “The children really enjoy performing out in the community.
“The ladies and gentlemen at Hargreaves Court always really enjoy their visit.”
