An Ilkeston School has told the Advertiser it has dealt with staff following an ‘incident’ earlier this year.
Four teachers were suspended from Ormiston Ilkeston Enterprise Academy after an inappropriate image was allegedly posted on a social networking site.
A spokesman for the school on King George Avenue said: “We can confirm that a full investigation into staff conduct has taken place and the matter has been internally resolved.
“It was not a safeguarding issue and no children were involved.
“We respect the privacy of all staff, but assure parents that we continue to focus on providing the best possible care and education for Ormiston Ilkeston Enterprise Academy pupils.”
But parents who have spoken to the Advertiser since we exclusively broke the story in February remain unhappy at the way the matter has been handled and say that rumours are still circulating among pupils about the incident.
One mum, who did not want to be named, said: “They never let us know what was going on in the first place and we are still in the dark.”
