STAFF at an Ilkeston charity shop have held an Easter-themed fundraiser.
Keen to raise awareness of the little-known condition Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) – a painful genetic conditon which causes skin to blister and shear – store manager Sandra Terry and her team at Debra charity shop in the Albion Centre donned Easter bonnets last week and ran a tombola which was well supported by customers.
Money raised will go to support the work of Debra with EB sufferers in the Erewash area.
Mrs Terry said: “EB is a very serious condition and not many people are aware of the pain and suffering those who contract the illness have to go through.
“Our aim is to give support to those who are affected.”
