AN ILKESTON shopkeeper has quit shaving for the whole of November in a bid to raise cash for a cancer charity.
Movember – the annual charity appeal – sees men ditch the razors and grow facial hair to show their support.
Simon Mason, owner of Middleton Road Stores, is taking part in memory of his father-in-law.
Simon, 34, said: “I wanted to raise some money and awareness after my father-in-law died of cancer earlier this year.
“I decided to take part in Movember as it seems a good way to get people talking about cancer.”
Customers and family and friends are supporting Simon who hopes to raise £100. Anyone who wishes to donate can visit the shop.
