A book on the history of Stanton Ironworks is almost ready.

But first, the authors of Stanton: Gone But Not Forgotten – out in November – need readers’ help with this picture taken at the ironworks.

Ex-Stantonians Stephen Flinders and Danny Corns, both of Ilkeston and District Local History Society, have been gathering articles and more than 100 photographs for the 200-page volume over the past 10 months.

“We would like to know who this young lady is or was,” said Stephen. “Perhaps one of your readers might recognise her. We believe the photo was taken in the late 1960s or early 1970s but who was she?”

Call Stephen on 0115 854 8373 if you can help him out.
