Stapleford biker dies in road crash

A Stapleford biker who died after a crash in Nottinghamshire has been named.

Police said James Hallam, 29, had been riding a Honda motorbike in Colwick when it collided with a Lexus car.

The crash happened at the junction of Mile End Road and Colwick Manor Farm at around 7am on Friday.

He was pronounced dead at Nottingham’s Queen’s Medical Centre shortly afterwards.

The man, who was driving the Lexus was not injured but was left shaken. No one else was injured.

The road was closed for about five hours while police investigated the cause of the crash.
