State-of-the-art cancer facility opened

A NEW £21.6m radiotherapy centre has been opened at Nottingham City Hospital.

The state-of-the-art Nottingham Radiotherapy Centre will treat more than 3,000 cancer patients a year and increase current capacity by 50 per cent.

Dr Sally Morgan, Head of Oncology at NUH, said: “Expanding our radiotherapy services at the City Hospital will help to further enhance our role as a cancer centre for the East Midlands.

“It really is a wonderful facility for patients – it is a spacious and high quality centre where patients can receive the best possible treatment.”
