Just when we thought our readers couldn’t impress us any more with their photographic skills, we receive even more great entries to our Life Thru The Lens competition.
The contest is being run in conjunction with Specsavers and we have been inundated with entries.
This week we have had a number of strong images entered, including the one above from Steve Woodhead, from West Hallam, taken in a field off No Man’s Lane between Dale Abbey and Risley.
Lee Murden, 40, from Kirk Hallam sent us a great picture of Hermits Wood (inset).
This is the second time we have run the contest in conjunction with Specsavers of Bath Street.
And once again the opticians is offering a digital camera, worth hundreds of pounds, as the top prize.
Now all that is left is for you to take a look at our rules and then grab your camera or smartphone and get out and about in the area to take your snaps.
The subject must have a clear link to Ilkeston or the local area.
It could be an image that captures our industrial past, a shot of an eye-catching green space or local wildlife.
