Teen's skydive for Nottingham hospital ward
A DAREDEVIL teenager who raised £500 through a charity skydive has presented toys, computer games and DVDs to a hospital ward where his brother received treatment for a brain tumour.
Cory Johnson, 16, dived out of a plane from 12,000ft to raise money for wards E38 and E39 at the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham, where his 11-year-old brother Regan was treated.
The Bilborough College student paid the 230 registration fee out of his own pocket, meaning the full amount of money he raised went towards kitting out the wards so young patients could pass the time.
Cory said: "It was really good to see the kids' faces light up when I took the stuff in, they were really happy with everything.
"They don't get much stuff and they have a lot to deal with so it was nice to help them out."
