flowers and tributes have been left at the spot of a road crash after a teenage motorcyclist died on Monday morning.
Hayden Middleton, 19, of Stanley, was pronounced dead at the Queen’s Medical Centre following the incident involving his motorbike and a Citroen C1 on Longfield Lane, Ilkeston, at 8am on December 5.
Cards, messages and a candle have been placed next to a lamp post near to the junction of Garden Avenue.
Hundreds of tributes have also been posted on the social networking site Facebook and a group has been set up in Hayden’s memory.
His dad Roger wrote: “I would just like to say thank you all for your kind and heart warming messages about our son, he will be missed by us and by all who knew him. RIP son never to be forgotten.”
Police are appealing for witnesses to call the collision investigation unit on 01773 572929 and leave a message for Pc Darren Parkin.
