Teenagers robbed by cyclist on canal path

An aggressive robber has targeted a teenage victim and his friends to steal a mobile phone.

The 16-year-old victim and two friends were walking along the canal path near Longmoor Lane in Sanidacre when the robber cycled up to them.

He then demanded the victim hand over his phone with a threat of violence and proceeded to snatch it from the victims hand before cycling off.

The offender, described as a white male of skinny build, aged 16 or 17, with short brown hair, wore a black beanie hat and hooded top and was riding a mountain bike.

The incidednt took place at 4.30pm on April 23.

Police want to hear from anyone who witnessed the robbery or knows of anyone matching the description of the offender.
