Mark Whitehead is the director of Mouse House Estate Agents, based in Long Eaton.

Where were you born and bred and where do you live now ?

I was brought up in Long Easton and currently live in Attenborough.

What are your hobbies and interests?

My hobbies are football, cricket, horse racing and reading.

What is your favourite film and why?

The Original Wicker Man is my favourite film because the plot was excellent and the twist at the end is perfect. Never saw it coming.

What is your biggest achievement in life?

The birth of my son, Billy is my biggest achievement in life.

What are your hopes for the future of this area?

That the area gets the respect that it deserves and doesn’t live in the shadows of other surrounding, high profile areas.

What is your favourite place to eat in Ilkeston ?

When dry, eating something from Greggs on a bench. When wet, eating inside Greggs.

Where would you say is your favourite local place to go for a day out?

A nice walk around Dale Abbey.

What is your idea of a perfect Saturday night?

A good night out an the casino would be my idea of a perfect Saturday night.

If you could change anything about Ilkeston what would it be ?

I would like to see Ilkeston Football Club playing in the football league.

What do you think your epitaph will say?

I think it would say ‘Who the hell decided to have me buried?’
