Jane Bosworth is one of the owners of Aquarius Home Improvements in Ilkeston.

Where were you born and bred and where do you live now ?

I was born and bred in a village the other side of Nottingham called Gunthorpe.

I also lived in Ilkeston for ten years and I now live in Watnall.

What are your hobbies and interests?

I enjoy spending time with my husband and my four daughters.

I work long hours so I don’t really have time for hobbies although I do enjoying reading when I get time. I also like going on holiday. Greece is my favourite place to go overseas and I also love to spend a few days in London.

What is your favourite film and why?

My favourite film is Blended – all of the family can watch it together and it is a really funny film.

What is your biggest achievement in life?

It would be seeing the success of Aquarius Home Improvements as it has grown over the last nine years.

Also, watching my children grow up and have their own achievements in life.

What are your hopes for the future of this area?

I would like to see more shops open back up in town.

What is your favourite place to eat in Ilkeston ?

Delinos Italian on Heanor Road– the food is delicious.

Where is your favourite local place to go on a day trip?

A picnic and a game of rounders at Locko Park.

What is your idea of a perfect Saturday night?

A nice meal out with friends and a few glasses of wine, versus a nice cosy night in with my family. It’s too hard to choose between the two.

If you could change anything about Ilkeston what would it be?

Ilkeston needs a Nando’s! If I could change anything, I would make sure one was opened here!

What will your epitaph say?

It would say “ Jane’s wishes have been followed, she loved bathrooms so much that she is buried in a bath.”
