MADHATTERS tearoom in Kimberley has received the best possible rating for hygiene standards.
Owner Nygel Stevenson, who opened up shop in February, was over-the-moon with his five out of five rating after his very first inspection by Environmental Health.
He said: “I cried when I got the certificate!
“This place has been my dream and I’m so proud. It’s been hard work to get here and to be awarded that straight away it just amazing.”
Mr Stevenson said a five rating was hard to get.
“Not a lot of places get five so I’m really chuffed.”
Restaurants and cafes are rated between 0 and 5 and the results are published on the Food Standards Agency website.
