Town firm gives cash to poor farmers

AN ILKESTON firm has agreed to donate cash from sales to the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution.

AB Components in the Manners Industrial Estate will give £10 from every purchase of a diesel bulk tank pump kit to the charity, which helps members of the farming community in hardship.

Company director James Edgar said: “I’m delighted to support such a worthwhile cause as RABI. Forty per cent of my business focuses on serving the needs of the farming community and so if I can give something back to those less fortunate than others then that would be great.”
