Viaduct captured at its best for photo contest

editorial image

This picture of Bennerley Viaduct is the latest entry in our Life Thru The Lens competition.

It was taken by Paul Coe, from Wesley Street in Ilkeston.

There is still chance for you to take up the challenge of the competition and get your entries sent in to us.

This is the second time we have run the contest in conjunction with Specsavers of Bath Street, Ilkeston.

And once again the opticians is offering a top digital camera, worth hundreds of pounds, as the top prize.

The subject you choose is up to you but it must have a clear link to Ilkeston or the local area.

It could be an image that captures our industrial past, a shot of an eye-catching green space, local wildlife or even a local sporting occasion.

The only real limit is your ambition and imagination.

The next step is to email or post your entry to us with certain details.

We will also showcase some of your entries each week in the paper and online.

Once we close the entries a team of judges will sift through all the brilliant photographs and narrow them down to ten finalists before deciding on the winner.

There will then be a presentation night at the Specsavers store where all the finalists’ images will be exhibited.

Email your entries to news@ilkestonadvertiser.co.uk or post them to Specsavers Life Thru The Lens, Ilkeston Advertiser, 8 Heanor Road, Ilkeston, DE7 8ER.
