Pupils at Chaucer Infants School in Ilkeston jumped into action when they took part in a skipping workshop with instructor Lorraine Evans (pictured).
The workshops took place throughout the day in the playground at the school on Cantelupe Road and saw children learning a range of skills on their own and in pairs.
The sessions were part of ‘international month’ at the school in which the children are taking part in different activities every day, including didgeridoo sessions, art workshops and Aboriginal story telling.
The children were taught how to skip and do different tricks to help with their co-ordination and agility. Parents were then invited to watch them in action.
