Vote set for terraced houses proposals

NEIGHBOURS have blasted a plan to build a row of terraced houses near their homes in Cotmanhay.

Tyrone Le Mercier of 4 Nelson Street plans to build three houses on land to the south of his home, which neighbours say will cause problems with privacy, traffic and a loss of wildlife.

But Erewash Boroug Council planners have recommended the planning committee approves the plan on the condition that Mr Le Mercier glazes side windows, creates a new vehicular access to the site and identifies any environmental risk.

The council planning committee was due to vote on the proposal last night
