AN ANNUAL festival of the wilder side of life is all set for this Sunday.
The Lakeside Festival, organised by the Friends of Kirk Hallam Lake, will run from 12noon to 4pm this year, at the lake off Godfrey Drive.
The free event is aimed at highlighting the rich variety of wildlife that lives in and around the site.
Stalls will be set up along the lakeside, including the opportunity to meet birds of prey, the chance to hold a tarantula or snake and to meet a beekeeper and learn about bees.
There will also be craft stalls and a circus skills workshop.
Suitable clothing and footwear is recommended.
