It is 50 years since President John F. Kennedy was shot - and we are appealing for people in Derbyshire to share their memories of that fateful day.

We want to know if online readers can recall where they were and what they were doing when they heard the news.

At 12.30pm on November 22, 1963, as the presidential motorcade entered Dealey Plaza, Dallas three gunshots rang out which changed the course of history and united the world in grief.
