A ceremony was held at Colliers Wood, Moorgreen in recognition of it retaining its green flag award.
Broxtowe Mayor Margaret Handley raised the new flag yesterday, July 19, alongside the Friends of Colliers Wood who help manage and maintain the site.
The woodland was awarded green flag status in 2008 and has managed to retain it every year since.
The scheme recognises well-managed, high-quality green spaces.
Cllr for environment, Stan Heptinstall said: “It’s a credit to the hard work and dedication which goes into maintaining the area.
“It is outstanding areas of open space like Colliers Wood that make the borough such a great place to live.”
