SIX new council homes will be built in Long Eaton after councillors gave the go-ahead at a meeting last week.
Outline planning permission was given for three homes on the site of a former playpark, west of 197 Collingwood Road and a further three on land off North Road.
Councillors asked for an additional condition to be placed on the houses on the playpark site that any dwellings built to the west of the exiting footpath through the site should be single-storey homes
An adjoining neighbour in Vanguard Road wrote to the council to ask that neighbour’s privacy is not impinged upon by the development.
One neighbour in Collingwood Road objected to the plan because of the extra traffic which could result from the new homes.
