WITH Darren Cundy on his travels competing in Ireland, it was left to wife Jo to take care of domestic matters at Ilkeston in the Bankers Trios.
Daz knows that Weasel Stompers are in safe hands as Jo was again superb on 697 in leading the champions to a 6-2 win.

Burton Eagles threw everything they had at Stompers, their skipper Vic Prince on 635, but on top of Jo’s score Daz McFadden shot 668 and Greg Pullinger 656 as they pull six points away from Tearaways.

Caballeros couldn’t make ground as they lost 8-0 to Hit and Miss, Craig Clements with 602 and Michael Rodgers 575.

Piggybank lost by the same score to Sultans of Swing, Adam Scott on 649, Dave Hall 640, Katrina MacIver 610 and Asti Trolley 600.

Top Kats extended their Roadrunners Doubles lead to 17 points after beating Classics 6-2, Graham Colton on 604 and Bernie Warnes 576.

Trent Enders had Andrew Lacey on 546 as they beat There’s Always One 6-2.

Moss’s lead in the Premier League was cut by two as despite Dennis Henshaw being on 586 in a 5-2 win, Piggybank took all seven against The Mafia, Richard Burton on 613, Asti Trolley 604 and John Bramley 591.

In the 21C Trios, Zodiacs had Steve Needham on 625 in a 5-2 win over Wizards. Warriors go second after beating 21C 7-0, while Bowled Over go back to third after losing 5-2 to Never Mind, Norman Doe on 609, Paul Mellows 579 and Paul Snell 572 but it wasn’t enough as Steve Rowland shot 617, Andy Billingham 584, Dave Bennett 562 and Gerry Harris 596.

Monday Night Doubles leaders Oo Va Vu had Lee Burrows on 915 and Andy Bloor 850 but lost 3-2 on pinfall points to Anywhere’ll Do, Graham Elliott on 802.

Oo Va Vu are still seven ahead of Bros 4 Hoes, Katrina MacIver on 862 for Cripples but Bros had Matt and Andy Courtnage on 894/833 in a 4-1 win.

First Arrow had Rob Thurlby on 922 and Greg Pullinger 799 as they beat Rumble Turtle 5-0, Ali Cliff on 836.

Hooking Balls have found their feet in the Derbyshire Building Society Trios, Daz McFadden’s 584 not enough for Suk-Is-Bak as they lost 5-2, Rob Thurlby on 687, Martin Chapman 665 and Colin Chapman 593.

Tigers are still a point clear at the top, Dave Buckley on 612 in a 4-4 with Thunderbirds, Julia Thomas on 552.

Previous leaders Patchwork Grace were way off the pace compared to recent weeks and drop to second after losing 8-0 to Hustlers.

Nemesis re-appear in the frame at fifth, two points behind the champions, Robert Scott’s 596 leading an 8-0 win against Believers.

What a difference a couple of wins makes! Occupying cellar position in the Ron Brooks Toyota Trios until last week, Jet Cafe are now within three points of emerging at the other end.
