CRIMESTOPPERS is working with police in Derbyshire to prevent vehicle crime by advertising on the back of buses.
Chief Inspector Sunita Gamblin said: ''We hope that by advertising on buses that travel throughout the county we can encourage more people to ring Crimestoppers to report suspicious activity or suspected offenders.

"During the last two months vehicle crime in the county has fallen by 98 offences compared with the same period last year.

"However having your vehicle broken into can be frustrating and worrying for the victims and we are determined to use every method we can to prevent vehicle crime from happening and catch the offenders.

"This publicity campaign is focussing on trying to encourage people to ring Crimestoppers if they have any information that would help track down and bring to justice criminals who target vehicles."

Anyone who has any information that would lead to the arrest of car criminals or their accomplices should contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
