Rob's return boosts Arrow

HAVING successfully defended their Monday Night Doubles title, First Arrow's 4-1 win over Anywhere'll Do marked the return to the champions of Rob Thurlby.
After a few weeks off in the league he dominated with several 300 games last campaign, he was again classy in cracking 929 with strong support from Greg Pullinger on 866.

Top-of-the-table Bros B4 Hoes had Matt Courtnage on 803 in a 4-1 win over second-placed Tariff Two, while Katrina MacIver hit 810 for Cripples who beat Oo Va Vu 3-2.

Mavericks are now four behind Piggybank in the Bankers Trios, Craig Church hitting 600 to lead the latter to a 6-2 win over Burton Eagles who had Derek Bishop on 573.

Mavericks beat Phoenix 8-0 with Dave Hall on 613.

Caballeros struggled again to produce anyone over 500 as they lost 6-2 to Tearaways, Brenda Pratt on 619.

They also lost 8-0 to Kno Ya Enema, Darren McFadden with 689, Jo Cundy 682 and 643 from Rob Thurlby.

Darren, Rob and Jo then hit 619, 585 and 576 respectively but lost 6-2 to Destroyers.

Brian Thomas’s 607 wasn’t enough for Roadrunners Doubles champions Top Kats as they lost 8-0 to Novices.

Probe are third as Adrian Moore hit 565 in a 4-4 draw with Start The Car, George Thurlby on 597, Bernie Warnes 577 and Andrew Lacey 561.

Moss are 16 clear of Ice Dragons in the Premier Doubles after Gavin Henshaw struck 567 in a 5-2 win over The Mafia.

Ice Dragons had Paul McNicol on 583 in a 4-3 win over Ironic, Brian Thomas on 639.

Piggybank’s Pete Wainwright hit 585 but they lost 5-2 to RPM, Rich Burton with 603.
