Rutland Sports Park hosts a celebration Open Day on Saturday (14th) to run alongside the annual Ilkeston Carnival festivities.
The Erewash Borough Council leisure centre is on West End Drive in the town, next to the carnival celebrations and activities on Rutland Recreation ground.
Visitors will have the chance to tour the gym and find out more about leisure facilities on offer – while there will be money-saving offers for anyone taking out a leisure membership on the day.
Councillor Mike Wallis, Erewash Borough Council’s Lead Member for Culture and Leisure, says: “Carnival day gives us a great opportunity to open our doors and show visitors the first class facilities that we have at Rutland – as we do at all four of our leisure centres.
“There will be plenty to see and do on the day and we look forward to welcoming both young and old – and we hope that after seeing our facilities, they will be inspired to lead a healthy and active lifestyle!”
The Rutland Sports Park Open Day will be between 10am and 4pm when visitors will also be able to pick up a free seven-day pass to try out the facilities.
