Boss Allen praises goalscoring Chesterfield debut for Hallam
“We tied up the deal on Thursday and directly I saw him in training the next morning I had no hesitation in putting him straight in the side,” Allen explained.
“I thought he had an outstanding debut and really orchestrated things on the left for us.

“Jordan’s with us for the next month, hopefully longer, and is the sort of striker we need.
“Whenever we’ve watched him he’s scored goals.”
Overall, Allen felt a draw – Chesterfield’s eighth in a row and the sixth 1-1 – was a fair result.
“We started slowly. It was disappointing the way we went behind to a corner, but we gradually grew into the game and enjoyed some good passages of play.

“Make no mistake, Eastleigh are a decent side with good players and to come away with a draw was good from our perspective.
“It was fantastic to see almost 250 fans make the long journey down to Hampshire, especially after going to Billericay in midweek and I think they can see we are headed in the right direction.
“We had a couple of escapes at the end when Callum Burton made a brilliant save and then they hit the inside of he post.
“But we were due some luck. We’d hit opposition woodwork nine times this season – and again Sam Muggleton today – so we were due that.”
