Ilkeston FC have announced that Nottingham Forest will be sending a team to the New Manor Ground for a pre-season friendly on Saturday, July 13 , kick-off 3pm.
With Chelsea also having agreed to face the Robins on July 30, it means two clubs who have been European Champions will come to Ilkeston during the summer.
Ilkeston manager Kevin Wilson said: “We are really fortunate to have such a good relationship with Nottingham Forest.
“We hosted the reserve team matches at the New Manor Ground two years ago and have had a number of players on loan from them.”
“Billy Davies has been a good friend to Ilkeston FC and Forest have always been quick to help out whenever we ask.
“I’m very grateful to them for agreeing to come for the pre-season game and I’m sure it will attract a big crowd.”
Further friendly fixtures are expected to be announced in due course, with more league clubs believed to be keen on sending sides to face the Robins as preparations for the new Evo-Stik Premier Division season, which starts on Saturday, August 17, continue.
